NEXT PLANTING - Sept 21 - Bulb Planting

Friday, May 18, 2012

Big thanks to everyone who came out to kick off the GG season earlier this month! Here's our first garden of the year, near Steeles and Founders Road by York University:

Thanks to North End Coordinator Jonathan for leading the group to guerrilla gardening victory.

Our next planting event is THIS WEEKEND. What better way to spend a warm sunny day on the long weekend than working on a garden with nice friendly people like us? Here are the details:

WHEN: Sunday May 20th 2pm (rain or shine - according to the weather report it's going to be all shine!)

WHERE: Meet at the corner of Palmerston and Bloor, just east of the Bathurst subway station.

We'll meet in front of the gates right at Palmerston and Bloor. Then we'll move on to the northwest corner of Clinton and Bloor - there is already a garden there which we'll clean up and fill in. We'll end at a large grassy areas just west of Christie on Bloor. It's rarely mowed so we'll starting planting it from the sidewalk and make it as big as we can depending on the number of plants we have.
WHO: You and your friends! Linda, our West End Coordinator has selected three little spots in the Annex for us to work on.

We need some bling, so bring colourful plants.
Please bring your own gardening gloves and a trowel if you have one.
We could also use:
- yard bags
- water
- soil
if you have any to spare.

Have a safe and happy long weekend everyone and hope to see you on Sunday!
