Downtown planting on Saturday!
those of you who came out to last year's downtown planting, it's the
same plot, we're refreshing that garden and greatly expanding it with
some donated Iris's!
129 D'Arcy Street, south side, just east of Spadina, one small block
north of Dundas. Same place as last year. There is evidence of our
lilies from last year, though unfortunately the city mowed over them
about two weeks ago. They are now recovering...
Saturday May 26th, 2012, at 2pm-4pm.
What to bring:
Bring soil, water, and plants. The area is far larger than we can
possibly fill, so we can totally use everything that you can bring!
Remember: FULL SUN, this area has very little shade, so whatever you
bring should be full sun tolerant. Also don't forget your sunscreen!
Awesome Donation: Thanks to Randy of the Toronto Awesome Foundation, we
have 100+ gigantic Iris plants, which should allow us to fill a much
larger fraction of the area this year. I've also borrow a small
rototiller from a friend, so we've got some robotic help with the soil prep!
See you all soon!
